ReWork - Book Review By: Jason Fried & David Heinemeier Life Skills: 5 out of 5 Entertaining: 3 out of 5 Just as someone preparing to read Ayn Rand should probably skip right to Marcus Aurelias’ Meditations, someone preparing to read Tim Ferriss’ 4-Hour Workweek should probably skip right to ReWork.
The Jason and David write clearly and concisely on how to work more efficiently and intelligently. That sounds like an oversimplification, but I cannot come up with a better way to summarize breadth of their insight. For a taste, read this Medium post they recently shared, but I STRONGLY recommend you pick up a copy of the book. I am confident it will change the trajectory of your career. Who should read this; Anyone in business, particular a start up, managers, and freelancers. Who should skip it; Writers and creatives not interested in the business side of things (an unwise stance in my humble opinion). Interesting tidbit; Jason and David founded 37signals, a technology company chiefly comprised of people working remotely. Buy it here and you’ll support the blog! |
